Faith in Older People: A Four Week Ecumenical Course for Visitor

Synod Hall, St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral, 300 Great Western Road Glasgow G4 9JB

The course is designed as a whole and participants are encouraged to come to all four sessions if possible. Suggested donation to cover costs: £20 for whole course (or £5 per session)

Faith Accompaniment with Frail, Elderly People

Exploring the concept of spiritual needs and what is involved in a visit to a frail elderly person


Wednesday 4th November: 2.00 - 4.00pm

Life Journey and Reminiscence

Encouraging, hearing and appreciating an older person’s life story and helping a person focus on the “blest moments”, where good things have happened and God can be seen to have been present in his or her life’s journey


Wednesday 11th November: 2..00 - 4.00pm

Transition Times

How to cope with unavoidable transitions: looking at loss, vulnerability and limitations


Wednesday 18th November: 2.00 - 4.00pm

Spiritual Care and Dementia

Understanding the process of dementia, memory boxes, keeping the spiritual flame alight
